Guest speaker: Stuart Hayward gave an overview on the 2010-2011 Budget – "How will this effect your Business"
This year the budget id forecast to be deficit followed by a smaller deficit for 2011-12 and expectations of a surplus in 2012-13. All of this is done on 1: projection of a growing economy 2: declining unemployment 3: in keeping our inflation rate low.
The deficit as far as business is concerned has major expenditure to allocate to;
1: Workforce training $558 million
2: Infrastructure $36 billion ie health, hospitals and mental health
3: Regional Development $ 4.3 billion
